Deadlock does not load Voicemod as a plugin. It only needs the virtual microphone that appears after you install the official desktop app.

Soundboard while you use Deadlock
Keep a small soundboard for Deadlock: a few reactions plus a mute-to-clean-mic key. Huge banks steal focus in a fight.
One suppressor, matched sample rate
Do not stack Deadlock's noise gate on top of Pro and Discord at once. One suppressor. Headphones, not speakers, while a mask is live.
If Deadlock ignores the virtual device
Test in the sandbox before ranked so teammates are not surprised by a mask.

FAQ
Does Deadlock need extra drivers?
No. Voicemod Pro installs the virtual microphone. Deadlock only has to list that device or follow the Windows/macOS default.
Can I use a soundboard in Deadlock?
Yes. Hotkeys fire into the same virtual mic Deadlock already hears. Keep binds off the keys Deadlock uses.
Windows or Mac?
Voicemod Pro is desktop software for Windows and macOS. Deadlock on a phone or console will not see that virtual device unless a PC sits in the middle.
